Accommodation Overview
Machame Camp is the first camp on the Machame route after a forest climb from Machame Gate. It is a scenic introduction to tented Kilimanjaro camping and helps guests settle into the expedition rhythm.
The camp is basic but well supported by the crew, with tents, meals, and evening checks. It is commonly used before the route opens toward Shira Plateau and higher moorland terrain.
