Accommodation Overview
Mandara Hut is the rainforest-zone hut stop on the Marangu route and a common overnight point for short Kilimanjaro hikes. It is usually reached after registration at Marangu Gate, with forest walking and possible side visits around Maundi Crater.
The stay is simple and shared, designed for trekkers rather than hotel comfort. It works well for the first acclimatization night and for travelers doing non-summit Kilimanjaro experiences.
