Accommodation Overview
Umbwe Cave Camp is a steep forest camp on the direct Umbwe route, one of Kilimanjaro's more demanding approaches. It is best suited to fit, experienced trekkers who understand the route's faster altitude gain.
The camp is simple and used as a staging point after a tough first day. We only recommend Umbwe after discussing fitness, acclimatization, route length, and safety expectations.
